Three laps into an SCCA Regional-level race at Summit Point, WVa, on Sunday, August 12, 2007, there was a sudden loud noise, followed by a ferocious vibration. We later found this. The bottom of the front half of the oil pan was blown down so the sump was resting on the steering rack. The affected side of the sump was pushed out, too. And on the inside, we found . . .
